Lift 5: Keeping the Cottage, from Lawn to Dock

Model: 1-Person (250-pound capacity)
Track: 70’ at 40° with a 1-hp single speed motor
Area: Jeffrey Lake, Bancroft
Year: Built in 2014

The owners of this cottage, just south of Bancroft, wanted to stay but trekking to the water and back was becoming an insurmountable obstacle.

The lift connects them with the water and keeps them at their cottage.

The upper station is a cantilevered platform level with the lawn.

Thanks John, for your dedication and work getting our new lift operational. The lake is now accessible, and my wife loves it. I must admit using it too (a lot), transporting engines, gas and supplies to the dock.
We put our trust in you and you delivered on time and as per quote.
We would recommend John and his lift system to anyone. It was the best “cottage” move Les and I ever made.

Before the lift the only way to get from their cottage to their dock was a 10 minute meander on a path to a walk-able path down the bank, a great walk if you’re able, a mountain if you’re not.

We cantilevered the car so the lift takes up very little space on the dock.
