The owners of this lakefront cottage were losing their connection with their lakefront and they wanted it back.
The porch is at ground level from the main door side of the cottage but a floor up on the lakeside. The old upper deck was sagging so we had to build to where new deck would eventually be rather than to where the old ones had sagged. The deck work was done by GR Construction.
It was a challenge to get the track that high. The machinery is inside the housing.
At the lower end, we designed the station platform to connect the existing walkway and the lift. Both station gates are interlocked for added safety, though this photo was taken before the gate was installed.
The track is high off the ground from the deck to to the dock. We put the dolly on the lift before building the last section of track.
