Imagine a trek of about 300', including a vertical of about 150', along a largely treeless path to get from the dock to the cottage and you have an idea of why these owners wanted an inclined elevator on their recently purchased property.
We found a great line that runs from the main deck (about 10' off the ground) to about 10" over the main dock. We landed on the dock because the waterfront was already at the coverage limit.
At the moment this is a 2-station but they have an equipment shed and have plans for a bunkie so we wired the lift for 4 stations.
Because of the length of the lift we used the track mounted crane ( a. k. a. The Trackasaurus Rex or just Rex) which John first developed in 2004. After the first 60' of track were installed we mounted the motor, winch, control panel and Rex, which was controlled by a remote using a special program in the PLC. We built the new 20' sections of track on top of the first 3 and used Rex to carry the new sections of track to the end of the completed track where we installed it
