This is the most intricate lift we have build to date. The project began with the removal of an old lift that ran along the same path but finished a good 3 feet above the dock.
We wanted to make the lower end finish level with the dock, which meant cutting and removing some rock on the hill and adding substructure to the dock to allow the lift to sit in it's berth.
Safety and small children meant we needed to build a fence around all the exposed part of the track and interlocked - automatic opening and closing, safety protected gates.
The finished lift sits beautifully into the environment and adds comfort and safety for family, friends, and staff. It is also a workhorse and logs more hours than any other lift.

The ramp leads from the lift to the main path and the upper deck of the boathouse. The black cover on the wooden cover is the housing for the gate operator. |
The car is approaching the lower station. When the car stops the gate opens and the floor of the car is level wih the dock. The gap between the two is about 1" |
