This spectacular lift runs at a 57°angle and the car floor is about 15' off the ground at the top end station
At the top end the car lines up with an interlocked access gate through the main deck railing. At the lower end it floats about 8" off the main dock. In between it glides underneath the boathouse deck.
The "interlocked" gate only unlocks when the car is in the station; the car cannot not move unless the gate is closed. We developed this feature in 2007 and it adds a level of safety that is essential in some situations.
In 2009 we replace the relay based Lift Control System with our new Progammable Logic Controller based system and added an intermediate station to access the sun deck of the boathouse.
Here's what the delighted owners said:
Dear John,
Just a short note to let you know how pleased we are with our new inclinator. During the past 10 years we have made many changes to our cottage (an ongoing labour of love) and one of the best things we have done is install the lift. It makes life on the island so much easier.
We are pleased with all aspects of our lift and commend you on an entirely excellent job.
The only mistake we made was not putting the lift in years ago.
Many thanks for all your efforts.
Best regards,
Peter and Linda
