We built this for the Muskoka Building Company on a cottage construction site when their original contractor was unable to begin the installation. We used the already purchased track and car but, with our customers agreement, upgraded to using our own track leg structure, drive, suspension, control, and emergency braking systems.
With the improved drive system we were able to make the track steeper, reducing the instrusion to the railing at the top end, retaining the view of the lake, and a new lower station, ending on the boathouse deck rather than one landing above.
This lift was the first to have three features developed by Inclined Elevation:

In our "Line at the Top" suspension system the dolly hangs below the suspension cable, making the ride naturally stable. The cable attaches to a redesigned "slack cable brake trigger" that trips the emergency brakes if the car stops when descending the track. If the suspension cable goes slack the lift motor stops and, with less an inch of the travel in the cable, the brake dogs are set into the track and the car stops. The cable is undamaged and can be used to return the riders to the top where the lift will be disabled until the brake is reset.

Self-locking self-closing car doors: the locking mechanism releases the platform side door as the car arrives at its station and locks it as the car leaves, protecting passengers from accidentally falls from the car.

Automatic rotating access gates at both stations which are seamlessly integrated into the lift; they open automatically as the car arrives in the station and close automatically when it leaves. When the car is not in the station the gates are locked closed, eliminating potential fall hazards.
