This 128' 4-passenger lift has a vertical rise of about 90'. Before we arrived the only access to the bottom was a beautiful slab rock staircase that had unfortunately become hazardous because some slabs had shifted to angle downhill and had also become slick with the water seepage and ice formation. The property was up for sale and the builder realized that a lift would help him find a buyer. It did.

The hill under the track was a scree slope with construction debris littering the area and water seeping out in places. We anchored it with 12" diameter concrete footings top and bottom and, in between, set legs at ~20' intervals. The legs are lagged directly into the bedrock or welded to steel plates and stakes driven into the ground. Because the track distributes the static and applied loads on each leg over the entire track, it actually helps stabilize the slope. Two winters after installation the photos show that the track is still perfectly straight.

The lower end station is just an open field which is just above lake level. It would be easy to add a wooden deck to match the car floor height.
